For the opening gallery of Gail Gilbert’s Warp and Weft, we created a unique logo to represent the show, as well as photography to catalogue and promote the works and event.
The logo represents the interaction of the two essential elements of weaving that turn thread to fabric. Warp (the vertical lines that hold tension) and Weft (transverse horizontal lines drawn between) in this installation are enhanced without a loom so that these fabric pieces stand freely, as if frozen in stasis, dancing in the wind.
